Step 1
open an existing document in photoshop, or create a new one. I will be
using a document that is 440 x 312 for this tutorial. Fill the
background with white (#FFFFFF).
Step 2
Get out the Custom Shape Tool () and select the Grass Shape:
Create a new layer, set your foreground color to black (#000000) and draw the shape onto the canvas:
Get out the pen tool (), and right click anywhere inside of the shape. Choose "make selection
Click Okay:
Fill this selection with black:
Step 3
Double click this layer, and apply the following blending options:
Drop Shadow:
Result:
Step 4
Now press CTRL + J to duplicate this layer.
Go to "Edit->Transform->Flip Horizontally".
Press 'V' on your keyboard to get out the move tool, and nudge the duplicate layer over as l've done in this image:
Step 5
Next we'll add some text to it. Set your foreground color to white
(#B4B4B4). Get out the text tool, and pick a nice thick font that you
like.
Double click this layer and apply the following blending options:
Drop Shadow:
Bevel & Emboss:
Satin:
Gradient Overlay:
Stroke:
Result:
At this point the same techniques are applied to create more detail. You
can choose another custom shape and apply an inner shadow such as l've
done here:
